The Uttar Pradesh government unveiled an ambitious plan on Friday, aimed at a significant transformation in education by integrating skill training into government secondary schools under the auspices of Project Praveen for the financial year 2025-26.
Through the Uttar Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Mission, specific targets have been set for training providers, who are mandated to establish training centers following government guidelines. These centers are required to kickstart their training batches by October 20, 2025, ensuring that enrolled students receive not only schooling but also crucial job-oriented skills.
Priya Singh, Additional Mission Director, emphasized the importance of participation in the India Skills Competition 2025, urging districts to ramp up registration through extensive promotional campaigns. The initiative strives for a robust representation from the state in national skill competitions, with enhanced registration facilities available online.
