CBSE Announces May Class-10 Board Exam Schedule
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the schedule for the optional second round Class-10 board exams, happening from May 15 to May 21. This round follows the mandatory February exams and allows students to retake up to three subjects to improve their scores.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced its schedule for the second round of Class-10 board exams on Thursday. Scheduled from May 15 to May 21, the exams commence with mathematics and conclude with social science.
An array of subjects including languages, vocational courses, and advanced topics like artificial intelligence are slated throughout the week. Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, and multiple other languages feature on May 19.
Starting 2026, CBSE will hold these exams biannually, with the first session in February being mandatory and the second in May optional for improvements. Students can attempt up to three subjects in the second session to better their performances, as stated by Sanyam Bhardwaj, CBSE's controller of examinations.
