In a groundbreaking move, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu unveiled a statewide deep-tech skilling initiative on Monday, in collaboration with IBM SkillsBuild. The initiative focuses on equipping learners with skills in quantum technologies, AI, data analytics, cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship.

IBM SkillsBuild will join forces with the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education and the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation, along with Amaravati Quantum Valley, to roll out the program aiming to educate two lakh learners by 2026–27 and ten lakh by 2032. The training will combine digital platforms with industry-linked courses and globally recognized certifications.

Additionally, the establishment of the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) at Acharya Nagarjuna University is set to commence operations this academic year. It will offer advanced learning in quantum computing, AI, quantum communication, and semiconductor technologies, continuing the state's drive towards a future-ready technology ecosystem.
