NEET 2026 Exam Cancelled Amid Paper Leak Allegations, Fresh Dates Awaited

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the cancellation of the NEET (UG) 2026 exam, which was conducted on May 3, in response to allegations stating that the test paper had been leaked. Authorities have decided to organize a fresh examination, with dates to be disclosed in due course.

In a statement made on Tuesday, the NTA cited the need to maintain transparency and trust within the national examination framework as the reasons for this decision. The inquiry into the irregularities will be spearheaded by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). NTA has stated its commitment to fully cooperate with the investigative process.

The allegations surfaced after a 'guess paper' containing a large number of actual exam questions was reportedly circulated among students. To counter these issues and preserve the integrity of the examination system, a comprehensive review has been mandated.
