JKSA Advocates for Student Rights and Employment in Jammu and Kashmir

A delegation from the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) engaged with the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs to bring pressing concerns to light this week.
Leading the delegation, JKSA advisor Peerzada Mehboob-Ul-Haq presented a detailed representation before the committee, which is presided over by BJP MP Radha Mohan Das Agrawal. The briefing highlighted key issues faced by students and youth in Jammu and Kashmir, including alleged profiling, harassment, and discrimination in various parts of the country.
The JKSA also underscored systemic challenges such as unemployment, opaque recruitment processes, and limited private sector investment, urging for swift recruitment drives and transparent selection protocols. The need for special age relaxation in national-level competitive exams and concerns over mental health, drug addiction, and educational infrastructure were also on the agenda.
