Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan revealed plans for a NEET-UG re-examination set for June 21, following alleged irregularities in the previous test held on May 3. At a press conference, Pradhan detailed ongoing reforms, including a shift to computer-based testing from next year forward, to ensure a fair examination process.
The government's primary focus remains on protecting students' interests, with Pradhan promising measures against malpractice. Allegations surfaced via the National Testing Agency's grievance system, highlighting overlaps with leaked questions. Investigations were initiated and an inquiry confirmed the issue by May 12, prompting a reschedule.
Pradhan expressed confidence in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) overseeing the inquiry, asserting that no violator, inside or outside the testing body, will be spared.
