Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced on Friday that a re-examination for the NEET-UG will be conducted on June 21. The decision comes after serious allegations of irregularities were raised regarding the original test conducted on May 3.
Pradhan assured the public that from next year, the NEET-UG will be a computer-based test to prevent future discrepancies. The re-examination duration has been extended by 15 minutes, and students can select their preferred test cities again. Admit cards will be distributed by June 14.
The government, emphasizing student welfare, will coordinate with state administrations for transportation to test centers. An investigation led by the CBI is underway, highlighting a zero-tolerance policy towards examination misconduct.
