Ghana and IMF Conclude Final Support Programme Review

Ghana and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced a significant milestone Friday as they reached a staff-level agreement on the final review of the West African nation's support program. This development marks a pivotal moment in Ghana's economic journey.

In a statement, Ghana's presidency termed the development as the "end of Ghana's financial bailout relationship with the IMF." It signifies a new chapter in the country's economic management and self-reliance.

The IMF acknowledged this achievement and announced that Ghana has requested a non-financing Policy Coordination Instrument. However, this agreement is still pending approval from the IMF's Executive Board.
