BIT Mesra has kicked off a significant five-day faculty development programme focused on emerging control and digital technologies aimed at advancing sustainable green energy systems. The event, running from May 18 to 22, was inaugurated by Sandip Kumar Kar, a key figure in industry serving as the executive director of RDCIS at SAIL, Ranchi.

Kar stressed the rising importance of merging sustainable and digital innovations in today's industrial landscape. He highlighted the crucial role of academia in nurturing engineering talent tailored to meet the growing demands of green technology sectors, urging a closer exchange between educational institutions and industries to overcome practical industrial issues.

Coordinated by Gauri Shanker Gupta from BIT Mesra's electrical and electronics engineering department, the hybrid-mode programme is drawing 145 participants, including delegates from various Indian states and international hotspots like Illinois, Singapore, and Zurich. The diverse turnout underscores the academic community's deepening engagement with the critical domains of energy systems and digital advancement.
