Odisha's Council of Higher Secondary Education declared the results of its Class 12 examinations on Wednesday, with close to 86 per cent of the 3.98 lakh students who appeared for it clearing the exam.

Announcing the results, the state's School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond said 4.01 lakh students registered for the Annual Higher Secondary Examination-2026 (Class 12).

Of these, 3.98 lakh students appeared for the exam and 3.41 lakh passed, he said, adding that the overall pass percentage stood at 85.85 per cent, which is higher than last year's 82.45 per cent.

The pass percentages for arts, science, commerce and vocational streams were 84.50 per cent, 88.82 per cent, 88.07 per cent and 77.62 per cent, respectively.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended his heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the students who cleared the Class-12 exam.

''Our students will be the charioteers of a prosperous Odisha in the coming days. I request all my students, regardless of the exam results, to move forward in life with a positive and strong mindset. I wish everyone a bright future,'' Majhi wrote on X.

The results are now online on the websites https://results.odisha.gov.in, https://results.digilocker.gov.in, and in the SAMS College e-space.

In the Arts course, Sambalpur district recorded the highest pass rate at 89.48 per cent, while Nabarangpur district has the lowest at 77.14 per cent.

Balasore and Boudh districts have the highest pass rates at 96.63 and 100 per cent in Science and Commerce streams, respectively.

Koraput district has the lowest pass percentage of 77.14 in the Science stream, while Balangir district has the lowest pass rate at 77.25 per cent in the Commerce stream, the minister said.

In vocational education, Nabarangpur district has the highest pass rate at 100 per cent, while Malkangiri district is at the bottom of the table with a 55.22 per cent pass rate.

According to officials, students can download the marksheet through Digi Locker from May 21 onwards. However, they can get the hard copy of their marksheet from their educational institutions from June 15.

Students can apply for instant and improvement exams in the first week of July, they said.
