Simi Garewal to Shine at Cannes with 'Aranyer Din Ratri' Restoration

Veteran actor Simi Garewal is poised to grace the Cannes Film Festival for the first time with the 4K restored screening of Satyajit Ray's 1970 classic, 'Aranyer Din Ratri'.

Garewal, who portrayed a tribal Santhal girl named Duli in the iconic film, will attend the showcase at the Cannes Classics section on May 19. She shared her excitement on Instagram with a video picking her outfit, a creation by couture label Karleo.

The festival screening is backed by film giants Wes Anderson and Martin Scorsese, among others, and promises to be a highlight at the festival, which kicks off on May 13.
