The somber return of the mortal remains of Air India cabin crew member Lamnunthem Singson was marked by the presence of family and community members at Dimapur airport. The 26-year-old Manipur native lost her life in the Ahmedabad plane crash.
Hailing from Kangpokpi, the young woman was among the 241 passengers and crew on Flight AI 171. Her body was flown in on an Indigo flight to Nagaland, where members of the Kuki Student Organisation and her family gathered to pay their respects.
A native of Old Lambulane, Imphal, Singson relocated to Kangpokpi with her family due to ethnic tensions. Another cabin crew member, Kongbrailatpam Nganthoi Sharma, also from Manipur, remains yet to be returned home.
