In a poignant farewell ceremony, Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor attended the last rites of her former husband, Sunjay Kapur, in Delhi. She was joined by her children, Samaira and Kiaan.
Also present at the ceremony were her sister, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and brother-in-law, Saif Ali Khan. Sunjay Kapur's widow, Priya Sachdev, participated in the emotional event held at Lodhi Road Cremation Ground.
Kapur, a notable figure in the automotive industry as the Chairman of Sona Comstar, reportedly succumbed to a cardiac arrest during a polo match in England. A bee sting incident may have triggered the attack, as mentioned by family friend and actor Suhel Seth, who confirmed the news on social media, expressing his sorrow and condolences.
Earlier, Karisma, dressed in white, was spotted at a Mumbai private airport with her children. The couple married in 2003 and divorced in 2016. A prayer meeting in Kapur's memory is set for June 22 at Delhi's Taj Palace Hotel, involving his family and close friends.
