In a significant push towards holistic health, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced plans to incorporate yoga into school curricula and public health initiatives. Speaking at International Yoga Day in Kalinga Stadium, Majhi emphasized yoga's comprehensive health benefits.
The event, which gathered over 10,000 attendees from diverse sectors, underscored the Odisha government's commitment to making yoga accessible for all. Campaigns are being organized in educational institutions and sports centers across the state to promote awareness.
Recognizing yoga's global stature, thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's efforts, Majhi highlighted the theme 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health,' stressing yoga's potential in fostering harmony with nature. The day also featured cultural performances and a sand sculpture by artist Padma Shri Sudarsan Pattnaik.
