In Pune, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized yoga's role as an intrinsic part of Indian culture and tradition during the 'Warkari Bhakti Yoga' event. He highlighted the global acceptance and wellness benefits of the practice, citing its endorsement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for International Yoga Day.

Fadnavis praised the dedication of the 'warkaris', devotees of Lord Vitthal, who practiced yoga during their annual pilgrimage. He noted that over 700 students also participated in yoga sessions, celebrating the occasion and supporting the vision of yoga as a path to a stress-free life.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, at the 'Yoga by the Bay' event in Mumbai, underscored the importance of introducing yoga to children to prevent future addictions.
