Union Ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Manohar Lal Khattar attended events at Rajasthan's Mehrangarh Fort and Delhi's Jantar Mantar, respectively, furthering the cultural significance of the day. The main event unfolded in Visakhapatnam, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Declaring June 21 as International Day of Yoga in 2014, the UN has seen the event's global reach and resonance grow over its decade-long history. The ASI, responsible for 3,698 protected sites, played an integral role in this year's celebrations by highlighting a blend of culture and wellness.
