A Nation Mourns: Paying Tribute to Ahmedabad Crash Victim Nganthoi Sharma
Thousands gathered in Manipur to honor Kongbrailatpam Nganthoi Sharma, an air crew member who died in the tragic Ahmedabad crash. Her remains were brought to Imphal, where heartfelt tributes were paid by family, friends, and colleagues. Another crew member, Lamnunthem Singson, was also honored upon return.

Thousands of people lined the streets in Manipur to pay their respects to Kongbrailatpam Nganthoi Sharma, a victim of the tragic Ahmedabad crash, as her remains were escorted back to her home state on Sunday.
Sharma, who served as an air crew member on Air India flight AI 171, tragically died when the plane crashed into a hostel complex in Ahmedabad shortly after takeoff on June 12, claiming 270 lives, including 241 passengers and crew. A solitary passenger survived the accident.
In Imphal, colleagues and family greeted her return with profound solemnity and respect, underscoring the immense love felt for Sharma and the deep void her passing leaves. Similar tributes were paid to Lamnunthem Singson, another crew member from Manipur.
