Diljit Dosanjh, a celebrated singer and actor, is facing significant backlash regarding his film, 'Sardaar Ji 3.' The movie, which features Pakistani artist Hania Aamir, is under fire from many who are calling for a boycott of Dosanjh.
Directed by Amar Hundal, 'Sardaar Ji 3' is the third installment in a popular Punjabi horror-comedy series. The controversy comes on the heels of the Pahalgam terror attack in April that heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, resulting in bans on Pakistani artists' social media accounts in India.
The film, produced by White Hill Studios in collaboration with Story Time Productions, is set to release overseas on June 27. Dosanjh announced the release on his Instagram, intensifying the backlash with many accusing him of compromising national interests.
