The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has unveiled self-service kiosks at laddu counters, enabling pilgrims to utilize UPI payments for additional laddus. This strategic move aims to streamline the process, eliminating the long waits traditionally associated with purchasing these offerings.
According to a TTD release on Monday evening, these kiosks are installed at various spots in Tirumala, allowing devotees to receive a payment receipt to claim their laddus efficiently. This development is part of a series of digital initiatives that TTD has undertaken to manage the large influx of visitors effectively.
Plans are underway to expand the kiosk network based on user feedback, with additional assistance for senior citizens and newcomers. TTD is also exploring the expansion of digital services to accommodation and prasadam counters, indicating a larger technological transformation.
