Arrests Made in Clash During Hul Diwas Celebrations in Jharkhand

Two individuals were arrested in Jharkhand's Godda district after clashes erupted during the Hul Diwas celebrations at Bhognadih in Sahebganj, according to a senior police officer. The arrests follow tensions between villagers and the police, resulting in injuries on both sides.

Police seized illegal arms from those arrested, identifying them as Sudhir Kumar and Ganesh Mandal. One of the suspects is reported to have connections with a senior Jharkhand political leader, which authorities are currently investigating.

The conflict began when the Sahebganj district administration allegedly dismantled a stage before an official event, leading villagers to protest. The situation escalated with police using tear gas and batons as crowds armed with bows and arrows retaliated.
