The Bihar government announced a significant initiative aimed at reducing youth unemployment through its new 'Mukhya Mantri Pratigya' scheme. At a Cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, it was revealed that young individuals between the ages of 18 and 28 can receive financial support for internships after clearing certain educational milestones.

Under this scheme, monthly stipends ranging from Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000 will be disbursed directly to eligible candidates' bank accounts. An additional livelihood support, varying based on the internship's location, is also offered. These efforts underscore Bihar's commitment to boosting industry readiness among its youth while preserving its cultural legacy through complementary programs.

Other cabinet decisions include bolstering the cultural arts community with the 'Mukhya Mantri Kalakar Pension Yojana' and introducing the 'Mukhya Mantri Guru-Shishya Parampara Yojana' to safeguard rare arts. Amendments to labor laws and healthcare grants for elected representatives were also approved, ensuring a holistic approach to state development.
