In a heated protest at the Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan, opposition legislators voiced strong objections to Shiv Sena member Manisha Kayande's allegations regarding the presence of 'urban Naxals' at the annual Pandharpur pilgrimage.
The protestors, including opposition leaders Ambadas Danve and Vijay Wadettiwar, criticized the allegations as a baseless attack on a spiritual tradition cherished by millions of devotees.
Kayande defended her claims, citing past disturbances and urged government intervention, which has since pledged to investigate the matter and uphold the pilgrimage's sanctity.
