NBCC Ltd, a state-owned entity, has entered into a partnership with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) to transform the Siri Fort Auditorium complex in New Delhi into an international cultural landmark.
Originally built for the 1982 Asian Games, the Siri Fort Auditorium already boasts a seating capacity of over 2,600 across its four auditoriums. This renovation project aims to expand its built-up area to more than 20,000 square meters, making it capable of hosting a wide variety of cultural and artistic events.
The redevelopment, to be managed by NBCC with NFDC covering the project costs, promises to elevate Siri Fort with global green building standards, advanced technology, and spaces dedicated to immersive arts experiences. This endeavor will position Siri Fort as a vibrant hub for India's creative ecosystem.
