On Friday, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta revealed the Delhi government's intent to examine Mumbai's Dharavi redevelopment model for slum areas in the capital.
She confronted claims of misinformation on slum demolitions, urging residents to consider their safety, particularly those residing close to railway tracks.
Gupta stressed the government's priorities, underscoring that while demolition isn't the objective, compliance is necessary for housing development. The redevelopment of 675 slum clusters may follow the Dharavi model, established through a joint venture involving the Adani Group and Maharashtra government.
