Indian Test opener Yashasvi Jaiswal will continue to represent Mumbai in domestic cricket following the Michigan Cricket Association's approval of his request to withdraw an earlier application for a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Jaiswal, 23, initially planned to move to another state, specifically Goa, where he was set to become the team's captain. However, after reconsidering due to family reasons, Jaiswal rescinded his request and is set to remain a key figure in Mumbai's cricket scene for the upcoming domestic season.
The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) promptly accepted his withdrawal, reaffirming their recognition of Jaiswal as a proud product of Mumbai cricket. The apex council also announced that the traditional Dr. HD Kanga League will return in its original format starting July 20, alongside plans to form a cricket committee for differently-abled players.
