Anurag Basu's latest cinematic venture, 'Metro…In Dino,' has crossed Rs 50 crore in box office collections domestically, as announced by its producers on Monday. The movie, featuring a captivating cast including Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan, debuted globally on July 4.
With earnings of Rs 55.16 crore nett over 24 days, the film's success marks a significant milestone. The announcement came via the production house's official Instagram, urging audiences to continue their support. The musical drama is brought to life by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Anurag Basu Productions Pvt Ltd.
A narrative exploring the bittersweet dimensions of modern relationships, 'Metro…In Dino' serves as a spiritual successor to Basu's earlier creation, 'Life in a… Metro.' Released in 2007, the original film featured prominent actors like the late Irrfan Khan and Shilpa Shetty Kundra. Konkona Sen Sharma is the only actor reprising her role from the previous film.
