In a call considerate of common devotees, former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday proposed that VIPs should restrict their visits to the Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirumala to just once a year.
Naidu's suggestion came after his personal visit to the revered shrine with his family members. Emphasizing the need for less congestion, Naidu highlighted that despite Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) making commendable arrangements, the space and time for darshan remain limited.
He advocated for public representatives to adopt this approach to reduce pressure on the temple's management and prioritize the convenience of the general public, according to an official release from TTD.
