Sacred Rituals and Pilgrimage: Chhari-Pujan Ceremony Commences

The sacred 'Chhari-Pujan' ceremony of Lord Shiva's holy mace was performed at the Amareshwar temple within the Mahadev Gir Dashnami Akhara on the auspicious occasion of Nag Panchami.
Led by Mahant Deependra Giri, the custodian of the holy mace, the ceremony witnessed the recitation of Vedic hymns and participation by a group of sadhus.
The revered mace is set to journey to the Amarnath cave shrine for a significant puja and darshan on Shravan Purnima, August 9. The pilgrimage includes night stops at Pahalgam, Chandanwari, Sheshnag, and Panchtarni, part of a sacred journey undertaken by over 3.93 lakh pilgrims since July 3.
