Prominent Theatre Artist Sudesh Sharma Takes Helm at NCZCC

Renowned theatre artist Sudesh Sharma has officially assumed the role of Director at the North Central Zone Cultural Centre (NCZCC) in Prayagraj, according to an official announcement made on Wednesday.
Previously, Ashish Giri managed the responsibilities of this position alongside his directorial role at the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre in Kolkata. Sharma, well-respected in the theatre community, has held the prestigious position of Chairman at the Sangeet Natak Akademi and is currently on the expert committee of the Union Ministry of Culture.
As the founder of 'Theatre for Theatre', the Chandigarh-based group, Sharma has made significant contributions to Indian theatre. Boasting over 40 directed plays and participation in over 5000 performances worldwide, Sharma is an esteemed figure, recognized by multiple awards, including the Safdar Hashmi Award. His acclaimed works include 'Dulla Bhatti', 'Lohakoot', and 'Court Martial', among others.
