Pramiltai Medhe, the distinguished former leader of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, passed away at the age of 97 in Nagpur on Thursday, a source from the organization confirmed. Medhe had been battling illness over the past three months, with her condition deteriorating significantly in the final two weeks.
Her demise occurred at 9:05 am at her residence in Devi Ahilya Mandir, as reported by the Rashtra Sevika Samiti. Medhe, who served as the fourth sanchalika of the organization, was commemorated by prominent figures including RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and current head Shantakka, who visited to pay their tributes.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari expressed his sorrow through a social media post, lauding Medhe's legacy in expanding the organization's mission and promoting women's empowerment. Honoring her last wish, Medhe's body will be donated to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Nagpur.
