Over 6,000 devotees paid their respects to Lord Shiva at the sacred cave shrine in south Kashmir on the Amarnath Yatra's final day. This year's pilgrimage attracted 4.14 lakh participants, officials confirmed.

In 2022, over 5.10 lakh pilgrims visited the shrine. On Saturday, 6,497 attendees, including diverse groups such as security personnel, reached the 3,800-meter-high site.

Originally set to conclude on August 9, the yatra ended early due to essential track repairs following recent heavy rains. The maintenance move aims to ensure the safety of future participants and preserve pilgrimage infrastructure.
