Sixty-year-old Biru Manjhi called former chief minister Shibu Soren the 'Gandhi of Jharkhand,' commending his life's dedication to uplifting the poor and oppressed, especially within tribal communities.

Following Soren's ideology, Tirkey joined thousands in accompanying the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha co-founder's remains from Ranchi's Birsa Munda airport.

Soren's contributions as a social reformer and leader of the Jharkhand movement were honored by supporters like Fagu Munda, who journeyed from Dumka to pay respects, remembering his battles against moneylenders and liquor consumption amongst tribals.
