Uttarakhand CM Launches 'Baulya Kaka' Film Poster, Boosts Film Production with New Incentives

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday unveiled the poster of the upcoming film 'Baulya Kaka', featuring Bollywood actor Hemant Pandey in the lead role. The film has been shot in the picturesque and remote villages of Gwaldam, Tharali, and Talwari, showcasing the scenic beauty of the state.
During the event, CM Dhami conveyed his best wishes to the filmmakers and discussed the promising prospects of film production in Uttarakhand. Under the 'Uttarakhand New Film Policy', the government is taking significant measures to support the industry, such as offering subsidies, tax breaks, and logistical assistance to attract filmmakers.
The new policy is designed to boost tourism, create employment for locals, and transform Uttarakhand into a prominent filmmaking destination. Initiatives include an additional 5% incentive subsidy for producers shooting in lesser-known locales and special subsidies for those hiring local talent, highlighting the government's commitment to expanding the state's film industry.
