In a heartfelt appeal, Jharkhand Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji has called on the Indian government to award the Bharat Ratna posthumously to Shibu Soren, the late co-founder of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM).

Mahua Maji, alongside Congress legislator Rajesh Kachchap, emphasized Soren's influence and achievements, particularly in his relentless fight for the rights and upliftment of the tribals, oppressed and poor across India.

The campaign for the prestigious award for Soren also garnered support from Bihar MP Pappu Yadav and Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari, who highlighted Soren's substantial contributions to society.
