Starting on August 8, 2025, visitors to the Singapore Flyer can expect a highly immersive experience tracing the full arc of the city's fascinating history. Celebrating 60 years of independence, the Time Capsule attraction, first introduced in 2020, has been revamped to offer a cutting-edge pre-flight experience combining multimedia storytelling with interactive exhibits and a personalized web app.
The journey through Singapore's rich story begins with Time Capsule, guided by a time-traveling robot named R65. Developed in collaboration with creative studio Untitled Project, this experience transports guests back to the 1200s, unveiling myths and trade origins through advanced technology like projection mapping and LiDAR. Guests will be captivated by an interactive walk down the historic Singapore River and delve into nostalgia with a chess-tile concrete table against a 300-degree projection wall chronicling Singapore's transformation.
Moving to Level 2, vibrant Peranakan-themed setups, LiDAR-interactive games, and multimedia displays explore Singapore's global role. Guests can deepen their experience using the Time Capsule app and free WiFi, interacting with life-sized characters such as traders and the indigenous Orang Laut. The journey flawlessly transitions to the sky, as visitors board the Singapore Flyer soaring 165 meters high, gaining insights into landmarks using the FLYER360 app enhanced by augmented reality.
