Honoring a Hero: Thane Collector Commemorates Martyr's Sacrifice

Thane district collector Dr. Shrikrishna Panchal paid homage to the legacy of martyred jawan Havaldar Sudhir Ambre on August 15, under the initiative of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.

Dr. Panchal reached out to Supriya Ambre, the widow of Havaldar Ambre, who lost his life during a terrorist attack in the Rajouri sector of Jammu & Kashmir on September 17, 2001.

He presented her with an official letter of gratitude, acknowledging the immense sacrifice made by her husband. Concurrently, tehsildars in the district similarly honored the homes of martyrs and freedom-fighters, reflecting broad communal respect for these brave individuals.
