In the wake of a catastrophic cloudburst and flash floods striking Kishtwar district, Union Minister Jitendra Singh reached out to the wounded at the Government Medical College. While expressing his empathy, Singh emphasized the unwavering efforts of rescue operations led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is personally overseeing the situation.

As of now, over 53 bodies have been recovered. Singh reassured that coordination between government bodies, the Army, and central forces remains robust and unified. The weather constraints have impeded certain operations, yet night-and-day endeavors persist, particularly in debris removal, ensuring that all trapped individuals receive timely aid.

Singh lauded the hospital for maintaining high standards of medical care for the injured, highlighting that many suffer from psychological trauma. He underlined the infrastructural improvements in the region that initially encouraged increased pilgrimage, which unfortunately coincided with the natural calamity, amplifying the tragedy's impact.
