Ladakh Leaders Push for Fair Airfares and Tourism Boost

Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta is taking definitive steps to control airfare and boost tourism within the Union territory. By promising to prevent airlines from imposing high charges during winter, Gupta aims to make travel more affordable for passengers.

During discussions with Ladakh MP Mohmad Haneefa Jan and representatives of the All Ladakh Tour Operators Association (ALTOA), Gupta reinforced his commitment to promoting tourism in Ladakh, vowing to enhance connectivity and leave no stone unturned.

Gupta emphasized the expansion of tourism in Kargil through cultural events and the introduction of private aircraft services. His dialogue with stakeholders highlighted the need for their cooperation to strengthen Ladakh's tourism ecosystem while addressing local communities' interests.
