Millions Rally for 'Har Ghar Tiranga': A National Celebration of Unity and Pride

The Culture Ministry reported a tremendous response to the fourth edition of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, with citizens uploading an impressive 7.5 crore selfies online from August 2 to 15. This initiative saw participation from over nine lakh volunteers who contributed to the spirit of the tricolour in both urban and rural areas.
This year introduced the 'Tiranga Volunteer' to boost participation among people facing constraints like age or limited technological access. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the tricolour's significance in his Independence Day speech, celebrating India's unity and collective identity.
The initiative comprised multiple phases engaging citizens through various programmes, emphasizing voluntary action, civic pride, cleanliness, and admiration for the armed forces. It also saw a collaboration promoting 'Swachh Sujal Gaon Pledges', underscoring civic responsibility and national pride.
