In a candid revelation, internationally acclaimed musician Ed Sheeran disclosed his decision to decline an opportunity to perform the first-ever concert in space. The offer, he explained, presented a daunting prospect, primarily because of the risks involved.
Sheeran pointed out that while space tourism may be a thrilling concept, he prefers to wait until it becomes as routine as flying to a European destination. 'I want to go to space when it feels as mundane as flying to France,' he quipped in an interview with People. Until then, Sheeran is more interested in exploring undiscovered corners on Earth, such as Greenland.
Family considerations also played a significant role in his decision. 'I'm not risking my kids growing up without a dad for a Guinness World Record,' he emphasized. Meanwhile, Sheeran is buzzing about his latest album, 'Play,' and is eagerly anticipating the release of its companion piece, 'Rewind,' which is nearing completion.
