The SBI Foundation, part of the State Bank of India, has unveiled its Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025, targeting 23,230 students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This initiative exemplifies SBI's investment in India's future, dedicating Rs 90 crore to the scholarship for the fiscal year 2026.
Established in 2022, the Asha Scholarship embodies SBI's vision of inclusive growth and education accessibility. The scholarship provides financial assistance from Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,00,000 per year, supporting students from Class 9 up to postgraduate studies.
SBI Chairman CS Setty highlighted the initiative as a cornerstone for developing future leaders who will propel India toward a vision of 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047. The application process for the scholarship runs from September 18 to November 15, 2025, via the official portal.
