Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and her daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra met with coffee growers in Kerala's hill district on Friday to discuss the industry's pressing challenges, according to party sources.

Visiting the Regional Coffee Research Station in Chundale, they sought to delve into the farmers' crises, which include climate change and rising production costs, officials stated.

The Gandhis, who were given a comprehensive tour of the research facility, were received by Dr. M Karuthamani, Joint Director, and Deputy Directors Dr. Rudragowda and Basavaraj Chulaki. Accompanying them was Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
