Farewell to a Maestro: Pandit Channulal Mishra's Legacy

Pandit Channulal Mishra, a luminary in Hindustani classical music, has passed away at the age of 89. He succumbed to age-related ailments at his daughter's residence in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, in the early hours of Thursday.
Mishra had been admitted to the hospital for 17-18 days prior to his passing, tackling various age-related health issues. According to his daughter Namrata Mishra, he passed peacefully at 4 am.
The Pandit is survived by his son, Ramkumar Mishra, a tabla player, and three daughters. His funeral rites are scheduled to take place at 5 pm in Varanasi, marking the end of an era in classical music.
