In a poignant tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary, Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy were among the prominent leaders who gathered at Bapu Ghat on Thursday. The leaders paid floral tributes at the memorial dedicated to the Father of the Nation situated beside the Musi river.
The ceremony also included an all-religion prayer, reflecting Gandhi's enduring message of non-violence and unity among diverse communities. An official release noted the solemnity and significance of the occasion, underscoring Gandhi's lasting influence on contemporary society.
Additionally, State BJP president N Ramchander Rao and BRS Working President K T Rama Rao marked the anniversary by honoring Gandhi's teachings. Rao took to social media to express admiration, recalling Gandhi's pivotal role in the Indian freedom movement through non-violence and satyagraha.
