An ancient Shiva temple located within a school in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has been vandalized by unidentified individuals, police reported on Thursday.

The incident took place late Wednesday night at the Shiva Lakshmi Junior High School in Chapar village, according to Nakud SHO Ashok Sisodia. The police were alerted through emergency call services, leading to a case registration under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Legal actions are being pursued, and the authorities have assured that those responsible for the vandalism will be captured and incarcerated shortly, the SHO stated.
