Union Health Minister and BJP national president J P Nadda embarked on a significant three-day visit to Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, starting Thursday. Nadda's itinerary included attending the Baba Nahar Singh Bajia temple, participating in the religious puja, and taking part in the Vijayadashami celebrations by immersing the Goddess Durga idol in Gobind Sagar Lake.

In his interaction with the media, Nadda described Goddess Durga as the embodiment of Shakti, symbolizing divine feminine power, and highlighted the essence of Vijayadashmi as a festival that marks the triumph of truth over falsehood, and righteousness over injustice.

The BJP president also paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversary. Nadda reiterated the importance of 'khadi', emphasizing its crucial role in India's freedom struggle. He stressed the party's commitment to promoting its growth and popularity, drawing on Mahatma Gandhi's historic Khadi movement which advocated for economic self-reliance and resistance against British imperialism.
