The Delhi government is putting the finishing touches on the logo, menu, and signboards for Atal Canteens, set to provide meals at just Rs 5 to slum residents across the capital, according to officials.

The Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) has been directed to identify locations in JJ clusters, design disposal centres where needed, and complete the operational framework, as stated in a DUSIB notification.

A new Atal Canteen Branch has been created to manage the project under the supervision of the principal director, tasked with navigating all stages from design to vendor selection, ensuring timely execution of the scheme.
