New Tirupati Venkateshwara Temple: A Grand Landmark for Belagavi

A significant cultural development is underway on the outskirts of Belagavi, as plans to erect a grand Tirupati Venkateshwara Temple have been set in motion. The temple, poised to become a monumental religious hub, will be built atop a hill in Kolikoppa village.

The project, with an estimated budget of Rs 100 crore, has already seen seven acres of land transferred to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) administration. The transaction was facilitated by the Belagavi Reddy Sangha, marking a significant collaborative effort under the leadership of key figures such as Lakshmana Reddy and Ramanna Mullura.

This ambitious project not only mirrors the iconic Tirupati temple but also promises additional facilities including accommodations and food distribution for devotees. Financial backing is largely from TTD, supplemented by local contributions and public donations, showcasing a blend of initiative and tradition in sustaining cultural heritage.
