In a significant cultural event, an exposition of Lord Buddha's holy relics is set to take place in Leh, Ladakh, from May 1 to May 14. The event, organized by the National Museum in Delhi, carries a message of peace in a world beset by conflicts, particularly in West Asia.
The announcement was made during a recent press conference at the National Museum where Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Ladakh Lt Governor V K Saxena outlined the event's significance. Notable attendees expected include Union Home Minister Amit Shah and dignitaries from around the world.
As per plans, the revered relics, currently housed in Delhi, will be transported to Leh by military aircraft. The exposition is anticipated to draw significant tourist attention to the region, potentially boosting local tourism and fostering cultural diplomacy.
