The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is set to hold a three-day 'Chintan Shivir' in Chandigarh from April 24 to 26, aiming to fortify the distribution of social justice schemes and ensure effective last-mile implementation. Union Minister Virendra Kumar will inaugurate the session, with Ministers of State B L Verma and Ramdas Athawale also in attendance.

The conference will gather ministers and officers from states and Union Territories, aligning efforts to draft a roadmap for inclusive empowerment of marginalized communities as part of the vision, 'Antyodaya ka Sankalp, Amrit Kaal ka Pratibimb -- Viksit Bharat @2047'. Participants will engage in structured thematic discussions and breakout sessions over the three days.

Highlights of the event include the launch of digital and policy tools, such as the SAMAVESH portal, NMBA 2.0 app, SETU app, and SMILE app, along with the release of guidelines for dementia care and beggar homes. The topics on April 25 will delve into educational access and dignity in sanitation work, while April 26 will cover socio-economic inclusion and financial empowerment for marginalized groups.
